Here's another fascinating thing that happened today:
I put gas in my car, then proceeded to drive away with my wallet on the roof. Thankfully, I only drove to the Starbucks across the street, so I was able to retrace my steps in the pouring rain multiple times before finding it in the gutter on the side of the road approximately twenty minutes later. Let this be a lesson to you... when talking on the phone to your friend Molly about the chaos that is your life whilst pumping gas, pay attention to what the hell you're doing. Make sure you know where your wallet is before you drive away and attempt to buy two grande non-fat vanilla lattes (one for you, and one for your friend Molly).
And... To the guy who saw me wandering around aimlessly in the pouring rain who also went to the gas station and then to Starbucks, thanks for your help. Your idea to check the garbages at the gas station, assuming that someone took the cash and tossed my wallet, made me feel both anxious and hopeful. Thanks for briefly joining me in my rainy search, I hope you enjoyed your coffee.
