Day 271

Happy 4th of July

Seriously. I love this day.

I made this shirt with scissors and spray paint.

You're welcome, America.

    1. Thank You!! :)

Painters tape for the stripes, and the border around the blue... I cut out stars and stuck them on with tape, then spray painted blue and red. I let it dry, then washed it, which gave it a really cool faded effect.

As for the cutting, I used an old v-neck t-shirt, so I cut around the V just a little bit off the seam, and did the same thing on the sleeves (I always have a hard time cutting a straight line with fabric, so I needed to have the seam as a guide :)). I used part of the cut off sleeve - maybe like an 8 inch piece to tie the back together (from arm to arm) to make it more fitted.

I should have taken pictures as I did it, but I hope that makes sense!!

Along with the shirt, I also cut off a pair off cords and rit dyed them red, but it ended up being too much with the shirt, so I'll have to save them for another time...
